The event is the co-creation from four organizations namely: Chulalongkorn University and its Master Program in International Development Studies (MAIDS), the Right Livelihood College, Royal University of Bhutan (RUB) and Sathirakoses Nagapradipa Foundation / Suan Nguen Mee Ma social enterprise. The activities incorporate vary of delivery methods including classroom-based teaching, public lecture, dialogue, workshop, field excursion and exhibition.
The objectives of the event were
(1) to create a forum where people can develop new and practical knowledge that will transform way of life towards a sustainable and dynamically balanced system, bridging the gap between humanity and nature;
(2) Empower participants as individuals and as a group to become catalysts for change and to develop directions to find their vision on development and “post-development”;
(3) Enable the co-creation of partnerships and new knowledge that support participants who are engaged in project developments and action-research initiatives;
(4) Encourage Southeast Asia as a point of convergence for change and transformation where shared ideas and new discoveries can be used as a basis for future research and project initiation in order to generate well-being impact for all.
