Chula Global Network (CGN) in collaboration with the United States Embassy and ASEAN University Network (AUN), Chulalongkorn University is very pleased to invite you to the seminar entitled “Watershed Management through Cooperative Action” by Ms. Genie Azad, C.F.M., Watershed Program Manager, Carson Water. The event will be held on Tuesday, 15 March 2011, 14.00-16.00 hrs. at Room 105 Maha Chulalongkorn Building, Chulalongkorn University.
The seminar is to give an brief overview of where we are with water shed management in the U.S. including some lessons learned and a case study example from the Carson River Watershed with a strong focus on how to involve stakeholders, expand stakeholder capacity, how to balance the resource needs and how to develop watershed plans that can be implemented on a variety oflevels and by locals and to give more detailed level of topics aforementioned emphasizing on Carson river restoration based on concepts from Southeast Asia. We expect attendees to include a broad cross-section of participants from the Royal Thai government, academia, the private sector, and from civil society.
